Having been trained by Josephine Toledo of The Manila Chamber Orchestra, Alvin could play both the electric bass and contra bass.

Alvin came from a family of musicians. He was influenced by his brother who formerly played at the Manila Chamber Orchestra. Alvin played with the group for quite some time and then joined The Jo Nicholas Strings.

Alvin has performed in venues such as The Manila Hotel, Century Park Hotel, and The Makati Shangri-la Hotel.

Alvin, the versatile musician that he is, also plays the piano and helps arrange music for groups such as the defunct Rhythm & Voices & of course the Music@ts.
